Pool Deck Resurfacing in Buckhead, Atlanta

The owners of a Buckhead estate near Peachtree Battle wanted to restore their aging pool deck without the cost and disruption of a full tear-out and replacement. The existing concrete had surface crazing, minor pop-outs, and a dull appearance that detracted from the property’s otherwise pristine landscaping.

We pressure-washed and acid-etched the entire deck to remove algae, mineral deposits, and loose material. A bonding primer was applied, followed by a spray-applied acrylic resurfacing compound that filled all surface imperfections. The resurfacer was textured with a knockdown finish that provides excellent barefoot grip while still being comfortable to walk on.

The final step was a cool-pigment stain in a sandstone hue that reflects solar heat, keeping the surface noticeably cooler than standard concrete on hot Georgia afternoons. A penetrating sealer with UV inhibitors ensures the color stays true season after season. The result is a pool deck that looks freshly poured and stays comfortable underfoot even in midsummer.
